Materials Testing
Paragon Systems Testing is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 and offers a comprehensive range of materials testing.materials testing
We are a leading provider of Cured-In-Place-Pipe CIPP liner testing QA services and mechanical testing services such as tensile testing, formability testing, flexural and hardness testing, for both metals and polymeric materials.
Our material testing lab has the capacity to conduct a combination of both destructive testing and non-destructive testing methods to metals, composites, polymers, elastomers and resins to determine their performance, strength, durability and resistance according to regulations, standards, delivery specifications, company specifications, and other requirements.
Our Materials Testing Capabilities
Mechanical Testing
How strong is it? Will it resist wear? Is it likely to crack when being stamped? These are some of the questions that can be answered by testing the mechanical properties of your material.
CIPP Liner Testing
As the industry has matured, we have continued to add state-of-the art CIPP liner test techniques for measuring the mechanical properties of CIPP liner materials with the objective of increasing the accuracy and repeatability of this data.
MicroStructure Testing
Microstructure materials testing is the science of interpretation of material structures. By sectioning, polishing and then etching the surface of a material, our materials scientists use optical microscopes to interpret the microstructure of the material being examined.
Anode Efficiency Testing
Buried ductile iron and cast iron pipe is exposed to continual corrosive attack which eventually leads to pinhole depressions in the ductile/cast iron pipe surface.
Without cathodic protection, ultimately these depressions develop until the pipe is perforated and a leak or pipe rupture appears.
Coating Performance Testing
Coatings (both paint and plating) are used to enhance a variety of properties of a substrate. Corrosion resistance, hardness, colour, solvent resistance and wear resistance are typical reasons to modify the surface of a product.
